These Photos are 3D Stereoscopic images, meaning to be properly viewed you need those Red/Blue coloured 3D glasses

make them yourself with red/blue markers and a CD case if you need

take 2 photos about 2-3 inches apart by moving the camera, try and keep the same subject matter framed, with the same focal point

in photoshop, in a new image,
-place the "left" eye photo on top of the "right" eye image (rename them respectively) and set transparency to 50%.
-Align the images so that the focal point is in the same spot on both photos (the area around it will look blurry as it changes from the two photos).
-Reset transparency to 100%
-Select the "left" layer, press Ctrl+L for the levels window, go to the Channel drop down and choose Green.
-At the very bottom change the Output level from 255 to 0
-Repeat with the Blue channel, then press OK. The image should now be red
-Now select the "right" layer, and repeat the layer output channel for red, making the image cyan once you are done.
-Now simply set the layer that is on top to "screen" layer mode, and it is done! Put on the glasses and give it a try.
-Crop the image so that anything shown by only one image is gone

Do you edit the photos with photoshop or another program? Also, if poss, how do you get the colours back in the image, i mean apart from the red/blue bits?

its it two different photos

one layer is removing the red from it, the other layer is removing the blue from it essentially

when one is screened on the other, the parts that are similar/match will look normal as all the colours are there, while the red/blue fringe for the depth shows up because the photos are different, which makes one eye see differently than the other (the coloured lenses see one of the layers while the other sees the second)

Cool, ok thanks I'll have to try it some time, last question, was this done with layers? if so what is the transparancy that was set?

probably the best tutorial to make one

basically you have the left eye image (remove green and blue) layer screened (screen 100%) over the right eye image (remove the red)

good luck :D
